You may not realize it, but several persons supported by lifempowered, are already working with you, and for you, in our community. Some of these dedicated workers have successfully held their positions for decades!
All persons have the right to gainful employment, if they so choose. If this is a goal for any of the persons we support, we encourage them to learn appropriate skills and support them to find connections that will help them experience optimal success.
We support career exploration in the community and share what is expressed by the person, to help place a person into a job setting that will be a good fit for them and their employer.
If a workplace setting is not to the person's liking, but they still wish to pursue income opportunities, we support individual micro-enterprises, such as craft making, garden items and personal services. We assist in bazaars, vendor malls, event booths and the like, to help market products people produce.
We have a passion to give back to our community, thus, volunteerism is often a goal. While we fulfill our commitments, we gain skills, become more integrated with our neighbors and celebrate our accomplishments.
